St. George & the Dragon

Who can make a dragon appear on an iconic modernist building?

Unity is strength... And at Artistalia we've joined together to bring the legend of Sant Jordi to an iconic work by the architect Jujol, a leading figure in Catalan modernism.

At Artistalia, we're always looking for creative ways to surprise our clients and make their events unique and special. That's why, when we were presented with a new challenge, we didn't hesitate to contact Craftpoints and together create something truly outstanding…

This time we collaborated on the production of a dragon's tail for the Sant Jordi decoration at Can Negre, the iconic modernist farmhouse in Sant Joan Despí, and as you might expect, we were absolutely fantastic!

Can Negre is one of the city's most emblematic houses, designed by the architect Jujol in the modernist style characteristic of the era.

Coinciding with Sant Jordi's Day, we received the commission to create a stunning decoration for this location.

The project itself was not simple. The dragon's tail had to be large enough to attract the attention of visitors, but it also had to be sturdy enough to withstand the wind and rain that might hit the area during the celebration.

The final result was spectacular. The dragon's tail stretched across the entire balcony of Can Negre, creating a breathtaking image that captivated everyone. Visitors were fascinated by the artwork and didn't hesitate to take photos and selfies to immortalize the moment.

At Artistalia, we are proud to have been part of this project and to have collaborated with Craftpoints to bring it to life. We hope our creation was a success and helped make the Sant Jordi celebration at Can Negre even more special and magical.
