Despite the Covid, this school wanted to continue the tradition and relied on us to be able to celebrate this popular festival.
A carnival where we have reinvented ourselves so that no child was left without seeing the emissaries and King Carnestoltes. We have made a series of videos to play in the classrooms.
For years our stilt walker classes have been the main Carnival activity at the Folch y Torres School in Esplugues de Llobregat. Every year the 6th grade boys and girls get on stilts to add a touch of color to the party by becoming the jesters of King Carnestoltes or Witches to support the Old Lady of Lent.
This year our emissaries have not been able to go to the classrooms to proclaim the Carnestoltes instructions to follow, but we have sent them from the moon.
The King could not appear on his walking stilts, majestic and crazy as always, but we have sent them his announcement.
The videos made by our team have allowed us to transfer the tradition to the students while adapting to the times we are currently living in.
Despite everything, and following all the safety measures, we have been able to realize the stilt walker workshop so that buffoons and witches can keep on giving continuity to the school party.
LONG LIVE THE KING OF CARNIVAL, THE KING OF THE JESTERS!
